Journey
Natasha Joubert is a South African singer, songwriter, and motivational speaker celebrated for her inspiring blend of Afrikaans and contemporary gospel music. Her soothing vocals, sincere lyrics, and performances have made her a beloved figure in South Africa’s faith-based music community.
Born and raised in Hartenbos, Natasha balances her career as a musician with being a single mother of three. A B.Com graduate in Industrial Psychology, she draws on her life experiences and deep Christian faith to encourage and uplift others through both her songs and motivational talks.
Her musical journey began in the mid-2000s with her debut album "Mis Jou Soveel" (2006, EMI), which brought her national attention. She went on to release "O My Bokka" (2008), an energetic fusion of Afrikaans pop and gospel that secured her place in the local music scene. Her later album "Daisy" (2010) continued her tradition of emotional storytelling and spiritual reflection. Songs such as “O My Bokka,” “Dankie Heer,” “Daisy,” and “Sonneblomvrou” remain favourites for their uplifting messages of gratitude, hope, and faith.
Over the years, Natasha has graced stages across South Africa, performing at festivals, women’s events, worship services, and markets, sharing her message of love and perseverance. Her music connects deeply with audiences, offering both comfort and inspiration.
Outside of music, she runs Inspired Gifts & Apparel, a faith-based lifestyle brand featuring motivational clothing and products. Her personal philosophy, “Maybe the journey isn’t about becoming, but unbecoming everything that isn’t really you,” reflects her commitment to authenticity in both her art and her life.
In 2007, Natasha earned the titles of Mrs. United Nations South Africa and Mrs. United Nations International, honours recognizing her leadership, grace, and community impact.
Affectionately known as the “Sonneblomvrou” (Sunflower Woman) of South African music, Natasha Joubert continues to radiate positivity and faith. Blending Afrikaans pop, gospel, and motivational themes, she shines as a voice of hope - touching hearts through her authenticity, warmth, and unwavering belief in the power of purpose.
